Harry Hurley Biography

 

Harry Hurley, is the award-winning host of the “Hurley in the Morning," radio talk show on WPG Talk Radio 104.1 FM & 1450 A.M. for the past 27 years. 

 

In addition to hosting his daily talk radio program, Harry is also the station's senior programming consultant. 

 

Harry was elected to both the Philadelphia (2014) and New Jersey (2015) Radio Broadcasting Hall of Fame. The only person from South Jersey, ever. 

 

Harry has also been selected as one of the 100 Most Important Talk Radio Hosts in America by Talkers Magazine for 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2018. Again, the only person from South Jersey, ever. 

 

His charity, the Hurley in the Morning Charity has raised over $ 750,000 for much-needed grants for hundreds of not-for-profit charities (over the past decade). 

Harry brings a wealth of experience in the news business. His broadcasting career began on July 1, 1992, on WFPG 1450 AM, with his first guest, New Jersey Governor Jim Florio. 

 

At just 19 years old, Harry became one of the youngest full-time newspaper staff writers in America, earning his staff byline at The Press of Atlantic City in 1979. 

 

Harry left The Press and enjoyed a 10-year career as an Atlantic City Hotel Casino Executive, serving at the highest level of the casino industry. 

Harry interviewed with and was directly hired by United States President Donald Trump to be his Vice President of Hotel Operations for Trump Castle Casino Resort by the Bay (now The Golden Nugget). 

 

Harry is also the political columnist for New Jersey Lifestyle Magazine and Shore Local News Magazine. 

 

Harry and his wife Margie married on Oct. 17, 1981. They have three grown children; Kristin, Lauren and Robert and a grandson Noah Hurley Baker.
